Kaiden's First Birthday!

Can you believe it? Kaiden's turning one! We loaded up the little man and the dogs and headed to Tulsa for a fun-filled weekend of celebration at Nana and Papa's house.

A boy and his dog

Two guys who can get away with horizontal stripes!

Gideeup, horsie!

This horsie's too big...

This horsie's just right.

Nana got Kaiden a birthday cake from Merritt's Bakery in Tulsa. They just happen to have the same pattern as the theme of his party. They did a phenomenal job!

Kicking back with Papa enjoying some juice.

See, the cake matched perfectly.

Hooray for 1st birthdays!!!

His Royal Highness.

He wasn't sure what to think about the singing.

That's an awfully big slice for such a little boy...

The cake massacre.

Kaiden...Destroyer of cakes.

Hey, this sugar stuff is pretty good!

What??? I have something on my face?

Can't worry about that now, I've got more cake to eat.

Hey dad, you want some?

Here ya go.

Some for you too, mom.

As you can see, he had lots of moral support.

Can you believe he ate the whole thing?

Nah, just kidding. We decided he'd had enough sugar for the month. Hmmm, how do you clean a blue boy?

In the bathtub, of course!

Awww, mom! Do I have to clean up?

I think there's still blue frosting in the crevices of the chair.

Whoo Hoo! Present time.

Puzzles! I love puzzles. Thanks Sue and Chuck!

Zebra wants a big hug, but K-man's not so sure.

Kaiden loved the lawn mower Grandma and Grandpa B gave him.

Nana and Papa gave him this super cool Mickey Mouse plane that he can ride or walk behind.

Thanks Grandma B for coming to my party!

Papa and Kaiden stylin' in their red shirts.

Nana, Memaw and K-man chilling after a hard day of partying. Note the unbuttoned pants to make room for the budda belly.

He escaped during a diaper change and couldn't be happier about being nekkid.

Hey, this chair is just my size. I guess wearing pj's aren't so bad if I can sit in the chair.

Looking at the super cool book that Aunt Krista made.

October 5, 2008: Kaiden's birthday

Check it out. Sue and Chuck gave us this play set. All we had to do was take it down and haul it away. I foresee many years of fun with this thing! Thanks!

Zelda getting up close and personal with Kaiden and Nana.

Smell my stinky feet!

All loaded up and ready for Nana and Papa to bring it down next weekend.

After, we all went to the Tulsa State Fair where we met Mom and Dad B. This ride was super high and super scary looking. After seeing it was $25 a person, we decided to just take pictures instead.

Future fireman, perhaps?

Getting up close to the sea lions.

Oh look, I'm the number one heifer. Kaiden makes a cute sheep.

Although it was a petting zoo, most of the animals weren't really into the whole petting thing. Oh well, we got to see llamas and buffalo...

baby goats and many other animals.

A card from mommy and daddy. A great way to end a great weekend. Happy birthday little man! We look forward to many, many more!
