We found Mike (Solo) out there too, and rode a South side warm up lap
first. On a relatively new portion of the trail, we rolled up on this
homeless guy camping out in the woods. As a fireman, Ben took the responsibility
of warning the guy of the dangers (and illegality) of an open fire on
public property. He didn't want to put it out, but reluctantly did so
while Ben was on the phone with the Garland F.D. With some of that vodka
in him, there was no way he could have stopped a fire in all those leaves
if it got out of control, and the whole park/nearby houses might have
burned.

After pointing the F.D. in the right direction, we finished our ride.

Hey, the kids are here!

Ready for your play date?

Tina with Lola Sky.

Meeting Kaiden August.

Nice to meet you!

Ben test rides Elisa's bike, with dogs in tow.

Lunchtime for Little Dude!

Lola does tricks!

The girls gather.

Tina, Elisa, Trishka, Susan, Amy and Lindsay. And Lola, whose first bike
probably hasn't been made yet.

First time in pigtails.

Lola's about 3 months older than Kaiden, so just past 4 months here.

Off they go!

Leaving us and the dogs to watch the kids.

Stopping back between laps for some snuggle time!

Adorable, huh?

Seriously, we got this.

Lola's not sure...

what to think of this little thing...

"It's about to drool on me."

What did I tell you?

After all that hard work, Kaiden needed a Coke.

Then Ben and I loaded the squirts into the strollers and headed out on
loops 1 and 1a.

Bouncy as it was, Kaiden passed out almost instantly, and stayed asleep
the whole time!

Lola was able to stay awake and enjoy the hike, though.

The girls are back!

Amy's first time back on the trails since the pregnancy. Welcome back!
Good times... we'll have to do that tradeoff thing more often.
