DORBA Christmas Light Ride

Tonight was the 3rd Annual DORBA Christmas Light Ride, and this year we have a tiny little Santa Claus to bring along! The ride meets in the parking lot behind Crate and Barrel, and winds through Highland Park for 5 miles or so. Almost every house we ride past is totally lit... it's really impressive. Tons of people drive through just to see the lights, including limos and horse-drawn carriages. It was about 35-40 degrees tonight, but we had Kaiden bundled up inside his trailer, and he slept through the whole ride.

December 13, 2007 DORBA Christmas Light Ride

Tonight was the 3rd Annual DORBA Christmas Light Ride, and this year we have a tiny little Santa Claus to bring along! The ride meets in the parking lot behind Crate and Barrel, and winds through Highland Park for 5 miles or so. Almost every house we ride past is totally lit... it's really impressive. Tons of people drive through just to see the lights, including limos and horse-drawn carriages. It was about 35-40 degrees tonight, but we had Kaiden bundled up inside his trailer, and he slept through the whole ride.

Christine scored some superbright lights! Made ours look pretty puny! Kaiden wasn't into it at first, but he settled down as soon as we strapped his carseat into the trailer. I tried something new tonight... instead of taking still shots, I mounted the camera on the Burley trailer with an altered NiteRider light mount, and set it to record a time-lapse video. So it took a shot every two seconds, for the whole ride! It actually came out pretty good... shrunk a hour-or-so ride down to 2 1/2 minutes. We had garland and lights on the trailer, and Kaiden was all dressed up in his tiny Santa suit inside. Hahaha! Poor little guy's hat is over his eyes! Snnnnxxxx. Ben and Elisa's girl Lola rode along in their Burley trailer, too. Awww! Check out the old-school tandem! Very nice. What's that? Why yes, we would like to have dinner at Chuy's! Santa wonders what they have on the menu for him. Cool hat ornament. I've been naughty in my pants! Seriously, how cute is this? Ric catches some incriminating video. Gadget alley. The Truett family.
